A Note From Gabriel

I started this newsletter to stay connected with all of you. To be honest, I haven’t been able to write as much as I’d like. Rather than wait for the perfect moment (we all know how that goes), I’m sharing what I can and letting that be enough.

My time recently has been centered on the West Coast culinary community and reminded me that none of us does this work alone.

First, the LA Chef Conference was activated and demonstrated what can happen when our industry makes time to come together. Chefs, restaurants, media and the people who make hospitality what it is may sometimes be in healthy competition. But we’re always stronger when we share what we’re learning and make space for honest conversation, especially at a moment when the work has rarely felt more challenging.
